This is a lovely pendant and chain.
In the centre of the pear shaped pendant is a semi-pear shaped cabochon cut boulder opal.
The boulder opal has thin colour bars & interesting patterns which leads us to believe that this is a Koroit boulder opal from the Queensland area of Australia.
The boulder opal is surrounded by a frame of small round diamonds and is suspended from a loop set with an old Dutch cut diamond.
The closed back of the 18ct rose gold setting has a beautiful scroll/foliate pattern.
The pendant hangs on an 18ct rose gold chain that is set with round diamonds in spectacle settings.
